Our Lovely Handcarved Standing Giraffes are hand carved by a family of master woodcarvers living high in the hills in Bali.

They are hand carved from sustainably grown albesia wood. Albesia wood is an incredible resource, in the tropics trees can grow to a height of 70 ft and a girth of 3 ft within 4 years of germination. It is soft, light and easy to carve and as it grows so quickly it is very sustainable.

The carvings are stained and waxed and have a lovely carved detail on the saddle and around the neck which give our giraffe carvings great texture. They come in the choice of Mummy, Daddy or Baby or why not buy the family sized herd of three ( Mummy, Daddy and Baby).

The Baby Giraffe measures approx 60 cm tall by 14 cm wide, the Mummy Giraffe measures approx 80 cm by 17 cm and the Daddy measures 100 cm by 19 cm.

As all our giraffes are hand carved they are all slightly different, this means that you get a unique hand made item
